I trained at Manchester School of Physiotherapy, and qualified as a physiotherapist with a BSc(Hons) Physiotherapy from the University of Manchester in 2003. I initially worked in a junior post at Manchester Royal Infirmary for two years, gaining experience in a wide range of areas of NHS care. I then chose to specialise in orthopaedics and musculoskeletal outpatients, and worked as a Specialist Physiotherapist at Manchester Royal Infirmary and a successful private practice in Cheshire, before relocating to the New Forest in 2010. I then worked for Southern Health NHS Trust at Andover Hospital and New Forest Hospital, Lymington until 2015.
I am committed to keeping up to date with the most recent research and evidence of the best assessment and treatment techniques, and studied have studied at Masters Level, including modules in neuromusculoskeletal dysfunction and sports rehabilitation, leading to to gain a Postgraduate Certificate (PG Cert) in Advanced Physiotherapy. I also have a Diploma in Orthopaedic Medicine and am qualified in using Acupuncture to treat musculoskeletal pain. I have also trained as a Pilates instructor with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI).
