During the coronavirus pandemic I have put in place additional procedures to try to reduce the risk of exposing patients to infection and maintain the safest possible environment for us all during face to face care.
I am following current guidelines from the government, Public Health England and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). These include wearing PPE (mask, visor, apron, gloves), cleaning all surfaces between patients and ensuring good ventilation.
For some patients it may be most appropriate to have their physiotherapy remotely by video consultation, rather than in person. This applies particularly to those who have underlying health conditions or undergoing treatment which means they are at greater risk of becoming seriously ill if they contract the virus. A health screening will be carried out prior to an initial face to face appointment, and I will discuss with you if this would be more appropriate.
Full details of procedures will be provided on booking an appointment and are available on request.
